standing firm

in the process of producing jumping, I've had to relearn much, and learn some things for the first time. My favorite is the importance of not wavering when I'm sure. Second guessing comes natural to me, I want to be fair, I want everyone to be happy.
Still, when something seems askew, when there's a certainty about something every time you think about it, when you know how you want to operate, you just gotta do it. Stand firm.

Annalise leaves for Interlochen in the a.m. I know that she has a secret plan to talk to the admissions office about why they need her there next year. The girl is determined to get all she can from this experience, she cannot wait to meet the instructors and get the rigorous hardcore training she's ready for. I'm proud of my daughter. More than that, I know her better than anyone, she's not perfect (unless you ask her grandparents) still, she's a fine person, good hearted, determined, level-headed, compassionate. A parent couldn't ask for more.

I'll be tearful tomorrow, maybe I'll cry tonight, too. I'm still intensely proud of her and happy for her.
