Lists and lists and lists...and..
So..the holiday was a true holiday, full of:
Life hit with a nice push on the shoulder sometime Monday afternoon and reminded me there is:
Oh never mind... that's boring, the list is on all three of my calendars anyway.
my brand new half price calendars that I sent my daughter to pick up on New Year's Day. ( A nice thing about last year is she started driving.)
I didn't leave the house on New Years Day.
I was recovering...
I was recovering from running 2 miles, 8 times - that's just how I like to think of it.
Doesn't "2 miles 8 times" sound nicer than "16 miles"?
I think so too.
I ran 2 miles 8 times on New Year's Eve morning. I wondered around mile 15 if I was really cut out for the marathon business. It's hard stuff. The payoff is doing it and being sore and knowing that you've done it, it's behind you and what's ahead of you will done in a confident, relaxed state (that's the plan anyway.) The real pay off is something I haven't quite figured out yet, maybe it's as simple as crossing the finish line.
Despite my long run and my meditative state...I haven't had a huge New Year's Resolution Brain Storm yet.
All I know is that in this next year the following things will most likely happen:
It's gonna be good though.
- family events both wonderful and complex,
- dog and cat ferrying
- a little cowgirling
- some writing ( I still know how!)
- some thinking about stuff that isn't on a to do list
- staring into the distance (while cowgirling at dusk in a cow pasture)
Life hit with a nice push on the shoulder sometime Monday afternoon and reminded me there is:
- freelance work to d0 (for which I give thanks)
- JOB post production jive to take care of
- my cat is sick
- my dogs all need lots of walks
- I got to do some major updating and paper work
- let's not talk about taxes coming up..

- Annalise will graduate and move away,
- We'll go on some amazing trip together.
- I'll feel sad about it.
- I'll feel excited about it.
- People I love will do great things and go through hard times, so will I.
- jumping off Bridges will find it's place in the world and Kat and I will help it get there.
- There will be lots of good work done on the new projects: the homeless and brain brawl
- The sun will rise, the sun will set (repeat)
It's gonna be good though.

This year promises lots of changes for all of us. It will be exciting to see these changes born together and to help each other through them!
