my so called life
I'm up at 5 a.m. I couldn't sleep, too much on my mind..
I kept making lists in my head of what I had to do when I got up and so I finally just got up, made my list and started on it.
What filmmakers don't tell you: taxes, paperwork, phone calls, follow up with Fred in CA on some obscure detail of something. They don't tell you that they'll be at the grocery store and run into someone and start talking shop.
One day soon, I want to make documentaries again. I think that will be April. In April, I'll have the freelance work complete, we'll have premiered at SXSW, Kat will be in major wedding mode and my weeks will be devoted to my documentary. That's further away than I'd like, but I don't see any other way. There's no time now to shoot, take pictures, write...this is the winter of filmmaking, it's the time to shovel snow and clear paths.
I'm ready for the Spring.
Back to it...getting stuff done...
