changes...
Molly Ivins was a force of nature. She carried the torch for a lot of Texas gals who were pressured to shut up, do their hair and not bother worrying about politics. She ruffled feathers and I loved her for that, as much as for her fine writing.
Texas has changed a lot in the past 30 years, but outside of Austin, people didn't know what to do about Molly. She'll be missed

This morning, I walked into the living room and it was a bright, warm, buttery yellow. It had been periwinkle blue since we shot Pilot and Olo all those years ago. I liked the blue, but I needed a change. It is brighter, lighter, happier in there now. Thanks to the help of a tall, strong friend, who is also a brilliant conversationalist, the room went from blue to yellow in one afternoon. After painting, we took in a movie, The Messengers. I'm not normally a fan of horror films and more than once I jumped in my seat. It's a good film, directed by the Pang brothers, Oxide and Danny. Funny names huh? I recommend it. I also saw Shop Girl and King Kong (the new one) this weekend. I loved them both, for different reasons.Still cutting Roadside....back to work.

I was so sad when I hear! Molly Ivins and Ann Richards both - there are big shoes to fill these days. I hope someone steps into them to make Texans days brighter and funnier.
